We haven’t been getting a lot of work done on our big house projects, so I’m working on doing little things to make our spaces a bit cozier and brighter. I’ve been looking for some fabric to make a new valance for the kitchen window, but I haven’t found just the right fabric yet. And then on a recent trip to the thrift store, I found these. They’re the perfect size and a happy color, and for only a couple of dollars they’ll work for a while, though I do need to hem them to a better length. And when I finally find just the right fabric to make the valances I imagine, these can be repurposed to something else, which makes the frugal and thrifty side of me very happy indeed.
