Emma’s Gidday Sweater

I finished Emma’s Gidday sweater, back in late February or so.  Unlike most sweaters that are only finished once, this one was finished twice.  Twice you ask?  Oh, yes!

The first time I finished the sweater and blocked it, I carelessly left a sleeve dangling over the edge of the table.  Apparently, the taunting sleeve made with angora was too hard for our dog to resist (who is part lab and will be in the puppy chewing stage for another 2 years), and when I picked up the sweater, one sleeve had been nibbled through.  Fortunately, I had enough yarn to spare and I was able to tear out the stitches past the damaged portion and re-knit the sleeve.  The second time I was much more careful with keeping all the sleeves tucked onto the table when I blocked it.

I thought I had posted the finished project here, but when I was on Ravelry last tonight looking for a new project I realized I didn’t have any photos of Emma’s sweater, and then I realized I didn’t post anything at all about it.  I do recall that at the time I was still trying to figure out how to get pictures onto my newer computer (which is still a harder process than it should be), so I didn’t want to use my camera.  Being the mom that I am, I still wanted to capture something to have evidence of the knitting, so I bribed Emma to pose quickly before running off to dance class.  That explains the silly pictures.

So, here’s my finished project post, only about 2 months too late.  I absolutely love the gray yarn I used. It’s Plymouth DK Superwash Merino Yarn.  I’m partial to superwash for sweaters for anyone but me.  I like the pattern enough to make it again.  (Just not right now).

Now to get these pictures onto Ravelry and find my next project.  Are you knitting anything right now or have a favorite pattern to share?
