Refund and Returns Policy

Please note that all books are in used condition, ranging from “Fair” to “Like New.” We make every effort to note book’s condition in description and pictures. Vintage and antique items, including fabric and trims used to make new items, are used. We clean each item before offering it for sale or using it in an upcycled item. These items are in varying states of condition and we make every effort to note the condition in pictures and in the description.

Custom orders can not be returned. Gift cards and downloadable products can also not be returned or refunded.

However, if any item does not meet your expectations, we have a 10-day return policy, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return by contacting us at tanya@everaftercottage.com.  Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be returned in the same condition that you received it. We are unable to cover shipping costs for returns, but recommend the use of USPS Media Mail when returning books for the most cost effective option for you.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Refunds

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. Shipping fees are not refundable.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We will replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at tanya@everaftercottage.com. One of a kind items such as vintage items, antiques, used books, and upcycled or custom items can not be exchanged.
