The weather around these parts has been pretty interesting the last few weeks. We had a warmer than normal winter, followed by an early spring thaw, followed by summer time temperatures, followed by winter, and now we’re back into the spring of things again.
I don’t know what it means for the growing season, or for the insects, but it meant an early end to the maple syrup season. We barely boiled down to a gallon and a half. Far less than we use throughout the year. Things are back into a bit more of a normal weather pattern now. Which means below freezing nights and warm sunny days in the 40s. I’ll take it.
How has your spring been?
