Book Information
All of our books are in used condition, ranging from “Like New,” “Very Good”, “Good”, and “Acceptable” used condition. It is expected to often find the name inscription of a previous owner, or a gift inscription, inside the book. You may also see denotations for “ex-library.” This means that a book previously belonged to a library, and often includes “discard” writing or stamps on the book.
- Like New: Item may have minor cosmetic defects (such as marks, wears, cuts, bends, or crushes) on the cover, spine, pages, or dust cover. Dust cover is intact and pages are clean and not marred by notes. Item may contain remainder marks on outside edges. Item may be missing bundled media.
- Very Good: Item may have minor cosmetic defects (such as marks, wears, cuts, bends, or crushes) on the cover, spine, pages, or dust cover. Shrink wrap, dust covers, or boxed set case may be missing. Item may contain remainder marks on outside edges, which should be noted in listing comments. Item may be missing bundled media.
- Good: All pages and cover are intact (including the dust cover, if applicable). Spine may show signs of wear. Pages may include limited notes and highlighting. May include “From the library of” labels. Shrink wrap, dust covers, or boxed set case may be missing. Item may be missing bundled media.
- Acceptable: All pages and the cover are intact, but shrink wrap, dust covers, or boxed set case may be missing. Pages may include limited notes, highlighting, or minor water damage but the text is readable. Item may be missing bundled media.
I work to accurately represent and describe book condition in photographs and description paragraph. Please feel free to ask any questions about a book prior to purchase!
Leather Items
All leather items listed for sale are hand made and hand stitched (one slow stitch at a time). Leather is purchased from multiple sources and usually cannot be purchased again in the exact same color and finish.
Original Art
Original art is painted right here in our home studio (aka, the kitchen and dining room). Original are cannot be returned and the artist retains all copyrights to this original piece of art.
Clothing and Soft Home Goods
All clothing and soft home goods are currently sewn in our home studio in Maine. We primarily use new fabrics and trims in our work, but we also occasionally include vintage, and up-cycled fabrics and trims. We make every effort to note in the description of an item if it fabric or trims are other than new. If you have any questions about a product, please ask.
Antiques, Vintage Items, Unique Finds
We LOVE treasure hunting and we share some of our finds here with you. We don’t guarantee the longevity of any of these items; many have been used heavily before they come to us.
