She Sells Sea Shells

I know, I know.  The rhyme says she sells sea shells by the sea shore.  But we haven’t ventured out to any sea shores yet this year.  Our spring is coming s-l-o-w-l-y this year.

I almost had Emma wear her new dress outside for some pictures, but that day it was very cold (in the low 30’s) and I just couldn’t ask her to do it.  So, here it is, Emma’s new dress, sewn from my stash (I think I’ve had this fabric for 16 years, it was definitely time it became something).  Emma picked the fabric out from a few I showed her that I thought would work.  And the happy bow on the back reminds us of summer days.  It’s the perfect by the shore dress, and hopefully summer isn’t too far away and we’ll have some shell gathering time, because what else can you do when you wear a seashell dress?

So, she sells sea shells inside while eating a clementine. I think it works better than she sells sea shells by the snow bank, yes?
