Ever After Cottage Cloth Doll

A treasured friend, made with love.

• Each cloth doll is made one at a time in my small studio space in my cottage home in Maine. The dolls measure approximately 17″, though, as with humans, the size may vary just a bit.
• Each face is hand embroidered and the cheeks are made of wool felt, stitched into rosy place with embroidery thread.
• Every doll body is stitched twice for security, and is stuffed with pure, clean, naturally hypoallergenic wool, which adds a bit of weight (usually about 1/2 pound) , though they are perfectly light enough for the smallest little one to carry her.  Part of the beauty of wool stuffing is that the wool absorbs heat as they are held, making them feel more real than other types of stuffing materials.
• Cotton fabric is used for her body and clothing.  Her hair is light brown fabric, molded and folded and squished and stitched into place one stitch at a time. Her little bun is stitched down and is topped with a removable decorative band.  She will arrive wearing:
  • A dress that fastens in the back with hook and loop closure- no small buttons to come loose or frustrate little ones’ fingers.
  • A pair of cotton pettipants/drawers which have an elastic waist and pintuck details on the legs.
  • A pointed hood cloak that fastens in front with hook and loop closure.
  • Little pointed boots that have a little ruffle on top to match her cloak.
  • A removable head band with a hand made fabric flower that matches her dress. We recommend that the headband be removed for small children under 3.

All items are handmade, and as such may have slight imperfections that lend to the unique character of handmade items.

She is ready to come to your home and join your child in hours of imaginative play.

She is suitable for children of all ages, 0-100 (though, as stated above, we recommend her headband be removed if the doll is for a small child). She does not like rough games, especially tugging of her sweet little arms and legs, and is meant for quiet and gentle play.

Wool stuffed dolls should be spot cleaned as needed. Her clothes can be hand washed and line dried, and is a wonderful chore for a child.

Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance.  We ship orders within 2-3 days, though if there is a delay in payment clearing, it might delay shipment.
